Meet Dena

For 30 years I have been a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC).  My passion is in helping others find their true essence and recover from addiction.

My approach is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which will help you learn to anticipate potential roadblocks while enhancing self-control and self worth. Developing effective coping strategies will put you on a more solid footing and help you get/remain sober and live up to your potential.

Dena Sander,
MSW, LISAC
Addictions & Substance Abuse Counselor

Recovering from an addiction is hard work and in some cases it can be the fight of your life. Because I have seen what can happen when  healthy coping strategies begin to take over the addiction urges, I know if you work hard enough you can expect to see that within yourself in the not so distant future.  We will work together to develop a treatment plan and set attainable goals. You will be involved in everything we do as  I aim to create a space for you to feel safe to be vulnerable and allow me the opportunity to help you work through whatever it is that needs working through so that you can finally be set free and move beyond all of it.
